This is the most vintage beat on the album, some ooooooold school King Boyden!
You would have heard this one if you were at some of the earliest Inner Peace Records gigs, Tiece used to sing “I need an MC on this beat” at the part where my verse is now, and invite any rapper in the building to come and drop a 16. I had already started my verse and didn’t have a beat in mind for it when Tiece suggested putting this track on the album, I liked how this verse sounded and how it had relevance to what Tiece was talking about on this track. After a little refinement it fit like a glove and this song was born!
lyrics
If a bird lost its wings would it still try an fly?
If you cut of my hands could I reach for the sky?
Imagine dreams aren't a lie,
And life,
Is all in our minds,
Would you 9 to 5 nose to the grind?
Or would you wander the wide>
Blue yonder to find all the blessings that you long for,
Beyond the stresses and the locked doors,
and contours,
Pause ponder this thought,
Imagine all the people living for the world>
No need for a prison,
No countries an no religion,
You may say that I’m trippin,
But I’m not alone in the vision,
The tribe listen when I drop a poem,
I can tell cos the vibe different,
The wise see the mistakes,
of another,
and pass the knowledge to his sisters and his brothers,
Some eyes to big for the cake,
Watch em break
